Peter has been in the insurance industry since 1987 and joined Mitchell McConnell Insurance in 1992 where he worked primarily on commercial accounts. In 1996 he left Mitchell McConnell to operate his own brokerage as well as a number of other businesses. Peter returned to Mitchell McConnell in 2006 to develop our commercial division and is focused mainly on larger commercial clients and group programs. Peter’s entrepreneurial background as well as his strong technical knowledge of insurance means he is able to understand both his client’s business and their insurance needs. Peter holds Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP), Canadian Professional Insurance Broker (CPIB) and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations. He is a Past President of the Insurance Institute of New Brunswick, past Governor of the Insurance Institute of Canada and an instructor for the Insurance Institute of Canada. He has been an active volunteer with the PALS program, Kennebecasis Valley Basketball Association and the Fundy Food Festival.
When not working diligently for his clients, Peter spends his time with his wife, Pam, and 2 children, Melody and Jacob. Peter is an avid boater, kayaker, hiker and motorcycle rider.
